Post-Modern Garfield
Remember the ol' Random Garfield Generator? (http://www.dougshaw.com/garfield.html) By taking completely random panels from the comic strip, it sometimes turns a tired old comic into the sublimely inane.

Okay, now we have Garfield Without Garfield (http://garfieldminusgarfield.tumblr.com) - where someone with waaaaay too much time on their hands goes through and photoshops out the fat cat from all of the comic strips -- leaving poor Jon talking to himself. To quote the site: "Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor (sic) disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against lonliness (sic) and methamphetamine addiction in a quiet American suburb."

Results are...interesting. From the inexplicably hilarious and off-the-wall:

Who knew rehashing a comic could be so fun?

They're like dark, existential haiku but with brightly colored pictures. Quite brilliant, really.
